As the energy grid continues to evolve with the emergence of electric vehicles (EVs), developing EV-centric programs that prevent grid congestion, support high energy demands, and engage customers is critical. Smart meter data, when combined with artificial intelligence (AI)-powered analytics, enables utilities to detect individual EV ownership and characterize charging patterns on the grid for a more comprehensive understanding of consumption, growth and total load impact.
