We are looking for an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to use his/her experience on consumer products and data monetization to create and own a new business altogether. Your goal will be to leverage data and insights from tens of millions of homes on our platform to create a new monetization stream to disrupt the current utility market business models.
- Own the entire spectrum of responsibility from modeling to proof of concept to commercialization of data monetization
- Explore various models of monetization ranging from Ad tech platform to specific products and services to home insurance leads and discounts.
- Identify what is the potential value per home through various monetization.
- Conduct business development with various partners in the ecosystem to validate business models as well as stack rank which opportunities to explore first.
- Present to CXOs at utilities and win their confidence to conduct the pilots and in future full commercialization.
- Own the real estate in the Bidgely consumer facing assets (Emails, Web, Text) and create offerings that measure consumer opens, clicks, conversions, and potential per home starting from small but a direct path to higher per home monetized value.
- Start as an individual contributor, build out a team for this business line as you progress from pilot proof to scaled commercialization.
- Be a self starter with minimal supervision required
- Have high creativity and own this initiative like you own your own business.
- Report into the CEO for this special mission and have maturity to deal with CXOs of Fortune 1000 companies.
- Experience in consumer facing products full lifecycle from concept to mature in-field product optimization
- Experience with monetization of data realized from concept to some level of scale – preferably scaled to commercial operations of tens of hundreds of millions of dollars
- Business development skills developing relationships with various vendors
- Strong presentation and concept selling skills to C-level audience of public companies.
- Problem-solving skills; you can think on your feet and synthesize new information quickly to reach good solutions
- Fantastic oral and written communication skills
- Positive and high energy and self driven to own this mission
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is strongly preferred
- Able to execute effectively in cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- BA/BS/B Tech from a respected university expected, MBA a plus
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience preferred
